According to the Directorate General of Health Services, at least 75 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours (till 8:00 a.m. today), 15 of them are from outside Dhaka (DGHS).

With them, the overall number of dengue cases this year has risen to 27,153, with 3,494 cases confirmed in the last month alone. Outside of Dhaka, 4,181 people have been affected.

According to the DGHS, at least 5,458 people were diagnosed in October, 7,841 in September, 7,698 in August, 2,286 in July, 272 in June, 43 in May, and the rest from January to April.

According to the DGHS, 98 persons have died in the nation because of dengue fever this year, all of them perished in the months of July, August, September, October, and November.

So far, 12 individuals have perished in July, 34 on August, 23 on September, 22 in October, and seven in November.

Ninety people perished in the Dhaka division, two in the Chattagram, Khulna, and Mymensingh divisions, and one in the Rajshahi and Barisal divisions.

The DGHS data reveals that 392 individuals are still getting care at hospitals in Dhaka and 107 outside the city, although most of those who were hospitalized have been discharged.
