Southeast University and UniMAP Sign Strategic Agreement

Southeast University (SEU), Bangladesh, and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) on January 14, 2025, to promote academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The signing ceremony was graced by SEU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, and UniMAP Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ts. Dr. Zaliman Sauli. Dr. Md. Maruf Hassan, Associate Professor, represented SEU as a delegate at the event.

This strategic partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in joint academic programs and research initiatives. It leverages the expertise and resources of UniMAP’s Centre of Excellence for Advanced Computing (CoE AdvComp) and Faculty of Electronic Engineering & Technology (FKTEN) alongside SEU’s capabilities. Key areas of focus include advanced computing, semiconductor technology, cybersecurity, and data science.

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam highlighted the transformative potential of this collaboration, while Prof. Ts. Dr. Zaliman Sauli mentioned the significance of fostering global academic partnerships.
This collaboration is expected to drive innovation, enhance academic and research opportunities, and contribute significantly to global education and research initiatives, benefiting students and faculty alike.
