
UIU became Champion of Inventious 4.1 Competition
A student in the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering of United International University (UIU) Md Rohan became champion in the User Interface and User Experience (UX/UI) Design Competition at the National Technology Festival titled ‘Inventious 4.1’.
The final round of the two-day competition was held on March 8, 2025. The event was organized by the MIST Innovation Club (MIC) under the supervision of the Research and Development Wing of Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST).
More than 450 competitors from 37 universities participated in the Inventious 4.1 national technology festival. The two-day event has played a significant role in developing innovation and leadership, bringing together students from across the country to advance the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The UIU student Md. Rohan won the champion trophy with prize money of 16,000 taka in the User Interface and User Experience (UX/UI) Design Competition at the festival after a multi-stage selection process. Additionally, one UIU student team ‘Team Phoenix’ secured 2nd runner-up in the Project Showcasing and another team ‘Pocket Agro’ achieved 4th place in the Hackathon competition.
The Commandant of MIST, Major General Md. Nasim Parvez, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. Eminent speakers, including Prof. Dr. Khondaker Al Mamun, Director of IRIIC, UIU and Mr. Taufiqur Rahman, Device Innovation Expert of a2i, also addressed the audience.
The festival featured four major competitions: Hackathon, Lead the Future, User Interface Design Competition, and Project Showcasing, where participants demonstrated remarkable ingenuity, technical skills, and strategic thinking.
