Southeast University Observes Independence Day

Southeast University organized a special discussion event titled “Shroddhay Gourobe Shwadhinota Dibosh” to commemorate the great Independence Day of Bangladesh. 

The event was held at the university’s Shahid Imtiaz Hall.

The program was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University, Professor Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam. The keynote address was delivered by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, while the Registrar, Major General (Retd.) Md. Anwarul Islam, also addressed the gathering.

In their speeches, the distinguished guests reflected on various aspects of the Liberation War and emphasized the importance of understanding the true meaning of independence. They encouraged students to contribute to the nation's progress with dedication and a strong sense of purpose.

Professor Dr. Farhana Mehtab Helal, Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences and Convener of the Event Implementation Committee, delivered the welcome speech.

The event was attended by deans, department heads, faculty members, administrative officials, staff, and students, making it a meaningful celebration of the nation's pride and heritage.
