Authorities revoked former B. G Azmi’s dismissal order

Former Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi, son of the late Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Ghulam Azam, has had his dismissal order lifted, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate statement issued on Friday.

According to the press statement, the dismissal order was reversed and a pardon was given on Tuesday (December 24).
Instead of being dismissed, he was retroactively placed on 'premature (compulsory) retirement' with all applicable financial and other benefits beginning June 24, 2009.

It further stated that the Ministry of Defence's dismissal notification, which was issued on June 23, 2009, had been annulled.
