Chase between DU and affiliated college students on DU campus

A chase and counter chase between Dhaka University and DU affiliated seven college students took place on Sunday night on the Dhaka University campus.

The chase and counter chase took place at about 11:30 pm on the day as students tried to enter into the DU campus through the Nilkhet area.

Huge number of law enforcement agencies, including the police and the Border Guard Bangladesh have been deployed in the area.

BGB in a press release early Monday said that they had deployed four platoons troops in the area to maintain the law and order amid face off situation among Dhaka College and DU students.

Journalists in DU reported that the chase and counter chase continued on the campus and outside the campus till filing the report at 12:15am.

Hasnat Abdullah, convenor of the anti-discrimination student movement, went to the spot and urged the students to camb down.
