Ex-IGPs Shahidul and Benazir filed a lawsuit over Crossfire

Five people, including former IGPs AKM Shahidul Haque and Benazir Ahmed, have been sued for allegedly killing a BNP activist in a 2018 "crossfire incident."

Julekha Begum, the dead Abul Hossain's wife, filed the case at the Gomostapur Amoli Court in Chapainawabganj Wednesday.

Two Rab informants, Md Morsalin and Monirul Islam Tulu, as well as former camp officer Mozammel Haque of the Rapid Action Battalion Chapainawabganj are among the other accused.

The complaint's attorney, Nurul Islam, has stated that Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Abu Taleb has scheduled a framing charge order for September 18.
