Jamaat Ameer for building discrimination-free Bangladesh

“The purpose of our life is religion. If religious education is expanded in the country, society will become more enlightened. . . However, if religious education is curtailed, darkness will inevitably descend,” Dr. Shafiqur said.

Describing his horrific captivity and imprisonment, he said, "I was arrested late at night as if they had arrested a terrible criminal."
He added: “We have got a new Bangladesh through the successful movement of the students and the people as well. They have worked together for the safety of all, irrespective of religion, caste and tribe.”
