BCB took legal action to remove Shakib from national team

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has been sent with a legal letter requesting that cricketer Shakib Al Hasan be removed from the national squad because he is suspected of murder.

Barrister Sajib Mahmood Alam, a Supreme Court counsel, issued the notification to the BCB on behalf of another SC lawyer, Md Rafinur Rahman, today.

The notification further requested that the BCB bring Shakib back to the nation from abroad for a full investigation into the murder case.

According to the legal notification, Shakib cannot play for the national cricket team since he is facing a criminal charge. He must be immediately removed from the cricket squad.

He should be suspended from all forms of cricket to protect the integrity of Bangladesh cricket and sports, he stated in the notification.

On August 22, a complaint was filed with the Adabar Police Station for the murder of textile worker Md Rubel.

Shakib Al Hasan has been implicated in the case. In addition, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader, as well as 156 named and 400-500 unnamed individuals, have been charged in the case.

Shakib is now in Pakistan with the Bangladesh national cricket team, according to his lawyer, Sajib Mahmood Alam.

He further stated that his client has not set the BCB a time restriction for sending Shakib back to the nation and removing him from the cricket squad because a new team has been established by the BCB and would require some time to work effectively.
